Now, that looks like some of the Grouse I've been seeing around my place. Small, short tail, but definately an adult.
Hey Mikey! I'm afraid they are vulnerable right now with the hungry hawks and no snow for them to hide under. Not good for grouse. Do you ever get them at your bird feeders?
Hi Karen, We don't see grouse by our feeders. For one thing,they're all off the ground. The other, of course, is Mama's cats.
I should have know that! Come to think of it, I've never seen a grouse on the feeder, just below the feeder.
