- Leash and collar with ID tags attached
- Medical health records including a current vaccination record and
rabies tag.....especially the rabies tag.
- Photocopy of AKC® registration papers
- Recent photo of your pet
- At least a three-day supply of food, medication and water
- Food and water dishes
- Blankets or bedding
- Crate
- Favorite toys
- Plastic “pick-up” bags
AKC also recommends that you have your dog implanted with a micro chip, or have him tattooed. If that's not possible, at least have a reliable collar with an I.D. tag securely attached. Losing your beloved pets, can only add even more heartache to an already terrible situation. Be Prepared.

Official AKC Recommendations For Pet Preparedness List
According to the AKC, this is a list of items you should have packed together in a "Pet Preparedness Kit" for your pet, in case of emergency.
