Need Help With House Training You Puppy?

As you might guess,  I am constantly reading and researching for the latest news in canine health or training. You can't imagine how much is out there! Today I was doing a little research on male territorial "marking". And that will probably, eventually, become a post. But for now, I came across a really good article on house training, in general, for puppies and older dogs that have never been house trained. It provides options and various scenarios to help with a wide range of problems and situations.

As you know, I am not a veterinarian nor am I an animal behaviorist, so sometimes I rely on the expertise of others to get the information out.

If you need help, this is the place to go. You can click the first link below and go the the web site, or you can click the second link and go directly to the article. It's a really good one.

  1. Great article - covers a ton of subjects and scenarios in one place. It's been over 13 yrs since I 'dealt' with a puppy and their 2 hour bladders. I still remember it well... Thank goodness they're cute because they're exhausting!

  2. Good Morning, Karen!

Gee, I hope I never have to house train another puppy, that would mean that my Darlings were gone! I do know that if a problem arose, I could come to you and you would point me in the right direction! Love the little Gordons!

    Happy Sunday!

  5. Good info. Since I adopted and older retired dog from a kennel instead of a puppy I had to deal with a lot of these same issues. We had a few accidents but it went pretty smooth. I have another one coming in about a month to keep Erin company so it looks like I will be doing this again!

  6. Art, A new puppy? Wow, congrats. You'll have to send me a pic and tell me all about her. I did a post on names if you need ideas. Glad Erin is getting a buddy.
