The Incredible Things We Teach Dogs

I've seen several tv programs featuring dogs doing some incredible things. A poodle like pup that climbs a ladder,  crosses a board, jumps through a hoop and then climbs down a ladder at the other end. Dancing dogs are now pretty commonplace and there's a new show where the dogs owners teach a pup to do specific tasks such as participate in a wedding or ride on the back of a bicycle. Search YouTube for an incredible dog named Skidboot.  You will be amazed at what this dog has learned to do.  And then there are the human helper dogs; guide dogs, disease sniffing dogs, and bomb and drug sniffing dogs. As a grouse hunter all I need to teach my dog is to stay within 75 yards, come when called and stand still when it smells a grouse. Shouldn't be too tough. DWT
