Gordon Setter Puppy Pics- 8 wks. 5 days old

So we have one less puppy this week. There was a small delay with Layla, but she will be going into a new home, as will Lefty, Labor Day week end. That will leave Leroy Brown. He is still not spoken for. He's a beautiful, sweet puppy, just waiting for a home.

Here are your weekly pics:

Gordon Setter Puppies 6 wks. 5 Days Old

I know it's only been a few days since I posted pics, but these are the individual pics for the week. Sunday is the best day for us to change their color coded collars, clip their nails, and take a mug shot.

The Girls:

Delilah

 Layla

 Sally

 Lucy

 Nadine

The Boys

Poncho

Lefty

Leroy

We also got them a new "lounging bed" for their kennel. Surprisingly, it is not chewed to pieces yet! They are having a good time playing King of the Hill!

Well...actually, someone (Layla) managed to fray an edge on one corner, until I put a chew bone in her mouth.

Various shots from this week...........

"I'm howling....is anyone listening??"
"Fine. I'll just stand here and look pitiful."

"This wet cool board feels good on our tummy"

"I prefer to take my nap under the bed."

Have a good week everyone and don't forget to hug your dog!

Sure Thing Gordon Setter Puppies - 6 WK Vet Visit

We took the puppies in yesterday for their first set of vaccinations, worming, and exam, at 6 wks and 1 day old. Dr. Moody from Bonner Animal Hospital has been our Vet for over 25 years. He and his staff do a great job with our puppies. It took 6 people to get the job done, including Dan and I. But we did get it done!

 Cute nose Delilah!

Weights were very good, ranging between 6 lbs. 15 oz. and 7 lbs. 15 oz. Only 1 pound between the smallest and largest puppy. Everybody is getting their fair share of Puppy Chow.
Ears look good, heart sounds good.

First, a little "poke" and then a little banana flavored wormer! YUMMY!
 Poncho likes it!

Leroy and Lefty, waiting patiently for their turn.

 Ahhhhh......

Leroy is up.....and he's the last one. Wait....are we sure?
Okay, we're good, that's everyone.

Not a problem in the bunch! All healthy and happy. I am also happy to tell you that not one puppy messed up the crate for their big trip. It takes an hour to get there. About 45 minutes to get through exams for 8 puppies, another hour of chores, then an hour home. That's a BIG trip for the puppies. We take turns with the chores and the other one stays with the puppies. Never leave your dogs in a car during warm or hot weather.

And FINALLY................

Their McDonalds French Fries Treat!

 And New Toys Too?! Yep-pee!!

Have a great day everyone, and don't forget to hug your dog!!
